Deconstructing Masculinity
In our society, the archetypal male has a very narrow set of descriptions they must fit in order to be seen as valid. First, the must be cisgender and heterosexual. They must also be stoic, emotionally unavailable, aggressive, and domineering. These societal expectations hurt everyone. They create a narrative where femininity is demonized and men are not allowed to be vulnerable. In this series, you will be confronted by many different types of men of varying races, gender expressions, and ideas about what it means to identify as a man.
